Judith M. Thorne, MA, MS, Psy.D.

Dr. Judith M. Thorne received her Masters Degree in Applied Behavioral Psychology from Adelphi University and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University. She is licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of North Carolina. Dr. Thorne served on the Board of “North Carolina Depression after Delivery”, is a member of “Postpartum Support International” and is a resource for “North Carolina Moms Supporting Moms”. She has been in Private Practice in Charlotte for approximately 10 years. Dr. Thorne has treated women with ante partum and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, within individual couple and group settings, for 9 years.

Dr. Thorne personally experienced a postpartum adjustment disorder after her first child. She is married and has two children.

Carol F. Peindl, MSN, RN, CS
Director-Huntersville
Carol Peindl received her Masters Degree in Nursing from Ohio State University and her BSN from Case Western Reserve University. She is certified as a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Carol is a member of “Postpartum Support International” and a North Carolina State Coordinator for PSI.     

Carol has over 30 years experience as a maternal-child nurse. Additionally, Carol has led support groups for more than 20 years related to postpartum adjustment and/or depression, infertility, and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.  She has worked as a psychotherapist in private practice in Huntersville for 9 years. Her practice specializes in Perinatal Mood Disorders, Fertility, and Perinatal loss. 

Carol personally experienced 6 years of infertility and a miscarriage.  She is married and has two adult children. 

Carole Bombardier, MSW, LCSW, CHt
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Carole Bombardier received her Bachelor of Science degree at the State University of New York at Albany in 1988. She completed her Master of Social Work training at Rutgers University. She subsequently earned her certificate in Clinical Hypnotherapy from the American Institute of Hypnotherapy. She is a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists & National Association of Social Workers.

Carole has over 20 years of experience working with families, children and adults in a wide variety of settings including community centers, agencies, and public health in the areas of developmental disabilities, early intervention, and child & family issues. She has been in private practice for six years in Concord and Huntersville, NC. She has a special interest in women’s issues including pregnancy, infertility, prenatal and postpartum mood disorders and weight loss. She teaches Hypnobabies, a childbirth preparation course, which teaches self-hypnosis for a comfortable, joyful and empowering birth experience. As a certified fertility therapist she helps couples enhance their fertility naturally through hypnosis and other mind/body approaches.

Carole has been married for 18 years and has a son, age 15 and a daughter, age 9. 

Tanya Masci, MSW, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Tanya is originally from upstate New York where she received her BSW at Niagara University and her MSW at Syracuse University.  She received her licensure in NC as a clinical social worker in 2003 and began her private practice. Tanya sees women and their families who are suffering from perinatal mood disorders at the Blakeney/South Charlotte location. Tanya has a primary office in Huntersville, NC where she treats those suffering from mood/anxiety disorders, PTSD, and grief/loss.  She is a certified EMDR therapist.

Tanya experienced  postpartum depression/anxiety with both her sons, who are 2 years and 11 months.
